Hey there!
Down here, things are still as good as ever, and the experiences keep on coming. Last weekend was awesome - went to the springs once more on saturday, and sunday was spent catching some waves at a nearby beach - Ohope, and even tho the waves were small, and they lost speed as soon as I was standing, but I did manage to get a few.
The week was pretty relaxed - ordinary school days. However, we took friday off (International Day), where we went to some local attractions at a discounted rate (50% or free). It was a really good day - we saw the Rotorua Museum, some luxurious hot water pools, went to Paradise Valley Springs wildlife park were we patted lion cubs, watched a lion feeding, and hand fed and petted farm animals and local animals such as wallabies (small kangaroos), wild pigs, kea (indigenous bird, like a parrot), llamas, goats, and a donkey - not to forget countless HUGE rainbow trout. We then went and tried the zorb, which is rolling down a hill in a huge inflatable ball - tons of fun. I was rolling head over heels in a pool of water inside the ball - twice. We finished off at the local extreme sport company, where I tried an "extreme freefall" - hovering in the air, held up by a strong wind created by a fan - a bit of a let down, but still very fun.
Saturday we once again headed to the springs, and I enjoyed longboarding on a borrowed board - I have to get myself one of those, it is heaps of fun.
Now I am getting tired, so I will stop writing - I should also mention that I have 1 more day of school before looooooooooooong holidays ;)
That's all from me!
Daniel
