Hello everybody!

It has been a while since the last update, and a lot has happened :)

Last weekend was really fun. We spent saturday trimming trees around the property, doing plenty of hard work, and when we were done our host father taught us how to ride our quad bike - that was heaps of fun! The weeks are pretty casual: get up in the morning, catch the bus, 2 lessons, interval, 2 lessons, lunch break, 1 lesson, catch the bus home, do chores, and relax with the family. We spend the breaks at school talking to friends, joking, eating, and in lunch breaks we have started playing soccer, which is great fun :) Next week we have exams, and I have tuesday off as there are no exams on that day.

Today was really awesome - we went to the beach in hopes of being able to surf a bit, but the water was too flat to have any chance of catching a wave, so instead we ended up swimming. It was freezing! But we had so much fun fooling around in the shallow water - and we saw a fairly big eagle ray, swimming in the really shallow water - it was beautiful, with clear spots and a perfect shape - it wasn't hard to see why they are called eagle rays, as it soared through the water - it even swam into my foot, and I reckon I could've easily touched it.

We also moved the lawn today, which wasn't quite as fun, though just as time consuming. All in all it has been an awesome day, even though i couldn't surf.

I look forward to the days to come, every day is an adventure :)
