Xmas morning we'd decided we were going parasailing so we all put on our Xmas hats and went up! It was beautiful! I took up my camera and you can see how clear the sea was - gorgeous. Some of the girls saw turtles while they were up there but me and Emily didn't :( Took loads of photos but was caught by a gust of wind and my xmas cap was blown off and all we could do was watch it float down to sea - so depressed as was the only one xmas hatless for the rest of the day... we spent the rest of the day on the beach, had a big lunch and back to the beach. It was a hard day.In the evening most of us went to the xmas church service which was nice. It was mainly in Fijian but they translated the main parts and made us feel really welcome. We then got back to the main hut to find there had been free drinks for everyone while we'd been to church! Well!
Xmas dinner was much nicer than I'd expected my xmas dinner away to be, they'd decorated the room and had cooked the meat in their traditional way (underground) and had cake and fruit and food in general galore! Afterwards on came the band (yes party island in Fiji doesn't mean Ibiza we learnt!) and later the DJ. We had a really good night doing the Bula Dance (rip off of the Macarena but adding a few different angles and shouts of BULA!) and general merriement!
I wasn't looking forward to xmas day and it was hard for everyone but luckily I was with a really great group of girls and had a fab day. We all really missed being at home though - you don't realise how special xmas day is until you can't be there
