It was blowing a gale overnight here at Cape Leveque! Our safari tent was nice and high up, which meant we were also very exposed. With all the tent parts flapping around, Renee & Eamon found it hard to stay asleep, so it was musical beds all around. After a great night's sleep in our safari tent at Kooljaman, with the beautiful breeze, we made breakfast on the bbq: our neighbours (whom the kids had made friends with back at the Resort in Broome) were leaving, so they gave us their bacon. We used the camp toaster on the bbq and had boiled eggs and toad in the hole - yum. We stopped by the cafe for coffee/hot chocolate, then drove up to the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm where we joined the 90 minute tour at 11.30...

We had lots to do today, but first up was breakfast. Then it was time to pack up and check out of the Resort, which has been fantastic - we would definitely come here again. There are 2 things in Broome that are only visible during very low tides and early morning, so we set our alarm for 6.30 am and went first to Gantheaume Point to explore the dinosaur footprints: the rocks were large, and very slippery but we eventually found 1 of the sets of footprints that date back over 120 million years! Mum & Renee woke at 6.30 to meet Ella at the beach for Bootcamp @ 7am. Not sure what they (ie, Mum) were thinking. Renee loved it though!
