The morning was lovely, with the wind all but gone as we left the bustling Port Hedland after a stop at a mobile coffee outlet. A very windy night, and extremely windy all day today - still sunny though, and not too hot. We did a lot of miscellaneous stuff today: first stop was the Visitor's Centre to just get a bit of info about our next destinations, then we spent a fair bit of time at the Redbank Bridge Lookout - watching the trucks get loaded up by the grader with salt from the huge mounds - those trucks then went towards the port, perhaps to fill one of the boats heading to china t...

Renee & Mum did their own mini boot camp this morning, and then Dad took Eamon & Renee down to the beach for their first use of the fishing rods since we left Sydney - unfortunately, they didn't get a bite, but they saw a few sea snakes! The van park was great - nice big patches of green grass, people riding around on quad bikes, some whale bones perched on the rocks, a Vietnam Veterans memorial - really pleasant place to stay. After a quick game of putt putt golf at our Palm Grove Caravan Park, we were sad to say goodbye to Broome this morning after quite a long stay, but excited about our next destination, Eighty Mile Beach, en route to Port Hedland. Renee & Mum enjoyed the Bootcamp the other day so much, that Ella from Cable Beach Club Resort invited them back even though we weren't staying there! So off they went for an intense 40 minute workout on Cable Beach at 7am with about 6 other crazy holiday people.
