The drive to Fitzroy Crossing is about 280km, so we stopped at the Ngumban Cliff Lookout first stop, then Mary River second stop. Up at 6am, and on the road by 8am to Halls Creek. Checked into the Caravan Park around 10am, and unhitched as quick as possible. We decided to go to the Wolfe Creek Meteorite Site which is a fair drive from Halls Creek, so raced into IGA for some supplies for lunch and got on the road. We were woken up by a light plane flying across our van, and the odd helicopter taking off. We left the van and headed to the Bungle Bungles with our bags packed for an overnight stay, - it's about 50km to the Visitor Centre in the Park, and it took us 2 hours to get there, so we were travelling about 25km per hour! We packed up, swapped details, and said goodbye to our neighbours and headed towards Kunanurra. We had stacks to do: drop into visitor centre, buy a fan because our aircon isn't being repaired for another week, go shopping at coles, get a coffee, go to the camping store, go to the bottle shop (which doesn't open until 12 noon).
