20km away from Franz Josef was another giant block of ice, Fox Glacier. We only passed through here on the way to our next place, Wanaka, so we only had time for a few walks. We've been here for 3 days now and have had a very active time. Like most places in New Zealand its all about the walking and hiking and to see spectacular views of the Franz Josef Glacier you have to go on one of the longer walks.
