Well we've made it to the other side of the world after a short flight from New Zealand. We both couldn't believe we were in Australia! We landed in Melbourne and soon found our way to the hostel. Having to carry our bags again was a big shock especially with the added weight of the tent and sleeping bags. We definately realised how much we took the car for granted. Well our time in New Zealand has come to an end and it only felt like yesterday we landed in Auckland. The whole camping experience has been brilliant and we really enjoyed it. I would say we would camp in Australia, but Lynz is a little worried about spiders, so we don't know yet!! The journey from Dunedin to Christchurch was too long to do in one go so we had to make a stop somewhere along the way. We decided on a place called Timaru as it was about equal distance between. It took us around 5 hours to get to Timaru because we followed our good old guide book and made a few stops. We set off from Queenstown with a new car, due to a little stupidity on our part. The new car we have got is a Nissan Pulsar and is an automatic, which was very strange at first. A good four hour journey to Dunedin soon got Lee used to the new gear stick and no clutch! Infact once you get used to it, the automatic car is easier to drive than a manual as you can just cruise and not touch the gear stick for hours!! Dunedin is the Gaelic translation of Edinburg...

Well we are into our last week in New Zealand and it seems that the further south we go, the hotter its getting, well apart from when we took a visit to a bar that was below freezing point!! Queenstown is New Zealands adventure capital but as we've been there done that got the t-shirt (Literally) we just chilled out for our time here.
