A nice scenic drive across land brought us to Nelson City. We had a bad start here as Lynz noticed a crack on the windscreen of our car, when we looked at it we realised a small stone had hit the window and developed a crack. Great stuff! A 3 hour ferry ride across the Cook Strait brought us to a small town on the south island, Picton. We stopped here as it was the first port of call on the south island and our next destination is 2 hours away and Lee couldn't bothered to drive today! Well we finally made it to the bottom of the North Island and our last stop before the South Island, Wellington. As we drove into the city it was like a breath of fresh air to be somewhere with more going on. Its been nice to visit the smaller towns but we were ready to be active again. Next stop on our route was Napier, about one and a half hours drive form Taupo. The journey passed really quickly as we were still on a high from the sky dive. Napier is a really nice town on the east coast of the north island. The main attraction of the town is the art deco architecture, which can be seen just walking around the centre of the town.
