Well we've reached the second stop of our GAP tour Ilha Grande which is an island off the coast of Brazil. We got here three days ago and it has not stopped raining! Which is a real shame as it has some of the most beautiful beaches in the whole of Brazil. We have managed to keep ourselves occupied by playing lots of card games, eating and drinking. They have a self service ice cream shop where you can get as much as you like then just pay per kg, it's amazing! The other people on our tour are really nice and very entertaining so we're having a right laugh despite the weather. Went on a boat tour yesterday, in the rain, which was highly amusing. There was unlimited caprihina's which is the local drink, after three things get a little silly. Me and Katherine managed to become part of the crew and even managed to steer the boat! This didn't last long as we were heading for the rocks, we also made friends with a local who just turned up from no where in his little boat with three dogs, think this was due to the fact we were in charge of the BBQ. We have lots of really good photos but we are unable to put them on just yet. As this is an island covered mainly in forest (it looks like the one off Lost) there is lots of wildlife about, Katherine stepped on a big snail with just her flip flops on!!! And there was also a HUGE butterfly but we survived. Heading to the next stop in the morning so hopefully will be able to update the pictures there. Take care
