World, hold on!
We have now left Ilha Grande which was actually sunny when we left and arrived in a place called Paraty, it's a nice looking town if not a little quiet. Spent the first full day on the beach as it was well sunny, we did have to trek through a small jungle to get to the beach which proved interesting as both Katherine and I were wearing flip flops but we lived to tell the story.
Having said that we weren't going to be drinking much we found ourselves still sitting in a bar at 2 o'clock in the morning (the rest off the group had gone to bed) drinking Brazilian sangria chatting to the owners of the bar. One did look a little like a Columbian drug lord but was really friendly, we also were chatting to this really funny and quite drunk German guy who kept having to 'pee pee'. Don't worry mum and dad we got home safely and weren't drunk.
The second day was spent looking round some of the local waterfalls and distilleries. One of the waterfalls was like a giant slide, it was so much fun, we have pictures but still haven't found anywhere that we can up load them. The distilleries produce the local alcohol called casasha which is made from sugar cane. We had lots of free samples and got a great 'where's Leah' shot(all will be revealed in time).
Got a 5 hour bus journey to Sao Paulo followed by a 16 hour!!!!!!! journey to Foz do Igascu, nice.
Hope everyone is well.
