Lush Life
Hey, well I'm back in Sydney, and it was actually really nice coming back here, I felt like I was returning home! I got in at 8am this morning greeted by Nads in our car, tooting as she came up the street. It was great, we were so excited, she nearly crashed by hanging out of the window waving and screaming! Think she missed me! Haha
Melbourne turned out to be great, I had a fantastic time, I really loved it, and spent a few days with Stacey's mum and dad who are adorable, I got proper spoilt and ate the best I have since being at home, I loved it. Their house is lush and I met her sis and her little boy Kaelan (so cute) and got a proper tour of Melbourne and the surrounds! I was on my best behaviour, but it must have worked cos I've been invited back for a week when I return to Melbourne! Get in! Not too sure how Stace is related to them though, they're all so sensible. And sober!
The weekend in Melbourne was bonkers. Got very very drunk on more than one occasion. The Saturday night we watched the fish show on the river which was really impressive, then headed off to the casino to watch the derby....such a good game. The Sunday was the closing ceremony, which was fantastic, such a good atmosphere, and we spent the afternoon in the park getting drunk and picnicking, then watched the ceremony on the big screen and there where fireworks afterwards, it was all dead memorable! I loved it.
Met up with Danny again when I got to Melbourne after staying with Stace's mum and dad in Queenscliffe, just for the afternoon before heading back to Sydney. We made tea and went over to Terry's hostel to see her and that. Not gone be seeing each other for a while now though as me and Nads are off tomorrow and the biggest trip of the century!
We were in the boot earlier having a root around, checking out all our new stuff, and we've just popped out now for last minute essentials before hitting the pubs later to leave Sydney in style, then its off tomorrow morning to the Blue Mountains. We go there first and then to the Hunter Valley, where all the wine vineyards are (hehe) then onto Port Macquarie to see the koala's, its got more koala's there than anywhere else, and then head to Byron stopping where we fancy, and stopping in Byron for the blues fest, and for a weeks free accommodation with Nads friends mum and dad, and then up the coast again, getting to Darwin by mid May ready to start our jobs. We've both got jobs in a guesthouse for 2 months, with free accommodation. We're so jammy! Its thanks to Nads...shes got 2 friends there who are running it over the peak season and asked if we'd help! Course we would if we get to live there for free, and we'll need a job again by then anyway.
So it's 6 weeks of touring then working for a while before moving onto the West Coast. Not going to be able to email much cos I'l be camping in the sticks, but I can text and you can text me if theres anything I need to know about!
Don't forget to get me birthday cards in the post. I don't want any that don't contain money! Haha
I'll mail again as soon as I can! I've updated my pics for you. xxx
