Lush Life
Wow, where do I begin? Been such a hectic week, i've been up to all kinds. Last Thu night me, Olivia and some of her friends went out to watch a band at this pub called 3 wise monkeys, and she ended up getting completely wasted, jumped up on the stage, stole the microphone and started singing (really badly) before being escorted out! Very amusing. The night after we went for a meal at a Thai restaurant, over the other side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which was nice. Fab view of Sydney and that. Then we went to a club on Oxford St to meet my hostel gals, and then from there we went to the notorious Kings Cross. It was such tack. Won't be heading back there in a while. haha
On Saturday me and Jess went to Paddy's market, and treated ourselves to ice creams and sweeties. I also bought a koala purse (as you do) and Sydney notepads etc....all cute little trinkets. Then chilled out watching a dvd at night. I was meant to be going out again, but I got a cold (haha, so funny considering i'm in boiling Sydney, and you lot are in minus temperatures) so I stayed in, but it did me the world of good. Think i'd partied a bit too much!
Sunday we went to watch the Chinese New Year Parade, which was fab, got some good pics of that, then wandered to The Rocks (the oldest part of Sydney), and went to a market, and then onto Darling Harbour for a walk, cos the weather was lush.
Yesterday I was meant to job hunt, but Nadia moved into our flat, and as the weather was way to good to look for a job, we headed to Coogee beach and spent the day in the sun. It was seriously gorgeous there. We had a well nice day. And last night we went out with my girls to Side Bar, (backpackers central basically), which took me back to my time at the hostel (er, all of last week ago) and we had a crazy night playing pool and drinking jugs of cocktails. So that then meant we didn't get up til early afternoon today, but we did manage to get up and go for a swim, so it wasn't all bad.
We'd also planned on heading to Summer Bay today (cos we had it in our heads that the weather would be brill) but it wasn't, so we've been busy at the Opera House booking tickets for a performance instead. Yes, we go there this evening, so I have to trot off soon to glam myself up (in jeans) and then we're off to see a play. I'm too excited, I love the theatre, so Sydney Opera House here I come! Will get loads n loads of pics. I might even try getting up on stage for you all! haha
Hope everyone's well, miss you xxx
