From San diego we headed up the coast towards Malibu, it was a beautiful drive, we passed through Orange county, Newport, Huntington beach, Long beach and Seal beach all absolutley gorgous, we were all super jealous seeing how the other half live, some of the houses were unreal. Me and Nathan drank corona, played football and chilled on the beach. We then found a nice motel just outside long beach where we spent the evening wondering round the marina and had an early night. The next day we headed towards Malibu in search of David Beckham, well at least thats what i was doing! unfortuanlty he wasnt here but the beach was amazing so we had a picnic, Nathan and Ryan braved the waves and attempted some body surfing. We then headed towards Venice beach, mintes after arriving me and Nathan knew we were going to love it there, the boardwalk is full of shops and stalls selling all kinds of werid and wonderful things, theres people roller blading and skating everywere, and hippies/bums chilling out by the beautiful white sandy beach which stretches four miles! perfect!
However, as it was late when we arrived and we had the mammoth task of returning the car back to the airport we couldnt really explore that evening but were both very excited for the days that were to follow.
The next day we headed straight to the roller blading shop! all a little excited/apprehisive, well at least i was. Nathan had his skates on in a matter of minutes skating around the shop showing off while me and Kim were still taking baby steps! Suddenly Nathan came crashing to the floor causing a massive scene in the middle of the shop! Hillarious! slow and steady wins the race!
After we all got aquainted with the blades we spent the day skating up and down the beach, it was a brilliant day! having the roller blades made it so much easier to see all the beach as its absoultly huge. We also went to musle beach but were all pretty dissapointed, we were expecting loads of body building hunks but instead it was full of all old men! I think Nathan was the most dissapointed of all.
That evening we went out for food and drinks which was fun, especially the giant margaritas we had! yum!
The next day me and Nathan chilled by the beach and walked up and down the boardwalk for hours! its was a new adventure everytime you walk up and down it! full of crazy/brilliant people!
