Sunday we got up early to catch a bus going to Machu Picchu. We missed Sunday morning meeting but Jordan, Eli, and I had our own meeting. We were supposed to leave at 8:30, but ended up leaving at 9:15am. Once on our way, we stopped in a little place called Saqsaywaman to pick up some people.
Next stop: Taya (1hr away). In Taya, we stopped to use the restroom and had the option of buying trinkets from some venders there.
Next stop: Pisac (1hr away). In Pisac, we had an hour to get out and tour some ruins with a tour guide. Also there was the huge Pisac Market. Just like any other markets you would find in the cities, but way more venders and way more stuff.
Next stop: Urumamba (45min away). In Urumamba, we got to eat lunch at buffet. All the buses, trains, lunches and tours were arranged through the agency where we booked our tour. The food was good, and it was nice to have a little Internet!
Next stop: Ollantaytambo (30min away). In Ollantaytambo, we had the option of seeing more ruins or just catching the train to Machu Picchu pueblo, depending on our tickets. Our train tickets didn't allow enough time to go see ruins so off to the train station for us!
The train ride was only about 1.5 hrs. The view was beautiful, and we learned that the train track is right where the old Inca trail was from Cuzco all the way to Machu Picchu, so it follows the river. After the train ride, we met a lady who took us to our hotel in Machu Picchu pueblo.
Whoops, I realize this is a long entry..I hope I'm not boring all of you, seems boring to me when I write it all down. Anyway I'll write about today in another post.

Abuela Abuelo says to tell you it's all very interesting and not boring at all. It sounds as if you went up to Machu Pichu half way on the bus and half way on the train. Sounds as you girls are having a good time. Thanks for posting. Keep on writing! Love. Abuelos
