An early start for us today as we're moving on to our second week of timeshare with Ray and Maria. We set off after breakfast, heading inland. A couple of hours into the journey, we stopped in a one-horse-town for a drink, kit-kat and toilet break, then kept going all the way to Mansfield, best described as a large 'small' town!
We were too early to check in to the resort, so we stopped in the town for lunch - delicious huge burgers for me and Ray and chips that we really didn't need! We were impressed with the town - a lot more than some of the places we've passed through, and enough to see and do over the next week in the local area. The tree-lined streets held plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants and the sun was shining - a good start to week two!
At the resort, we eventually checked in to our unit - also very impressive. The best bit is the fantastic views over Lake Eildon through the living room window. Might have to go in for a swim if the weather stays good.
After a long day travelling, we were happy to have a quick tea and then chill out in front of the telly - more Mansfield exploring to do tomorrow.

Maria Bailey Good report. We were amazed at the number of 'one horse towns' around. They all seemed to consist of one store cum post office cum newsagent - very Waltons-esque for those of you old enough to remember the series and the general store.
