Today we were going on a trip to Phillip Island on a wildlife tour. The highlight of Phillip Island is the penguin parade each night. We'd watched the 'Penguin Island' documentary by Rolf Harris a few years ago and were both excited to go to the island which is a colony for around 50,000 little penguins! Today we slept late after the night before and hung around the apartment for most of the day - still don't know why we decided to go out at 2am! Laura and I had rallied a bit and decided to go out for tea to one of the restaurants in the Greek Quarter on Lonsdale Street, which was pretty close to our apartment. We eventually decided on one called Tsindos which has been run by three generations of one Greek family since the 70s (or so the informative menu said!)....

Today Mam and Dad were setting off at 6am for the airport to catch their flight to Sydney airport, to catch their flight to Sydney. We'd arranged for T and Laura to pick us up on their way to our swanky apartment for 4 nights in the centre of Melbourne! We'd got up early to say goodbye to Mam and Dad, then went back to sleep for a few hours before packing up and checking out at 10am. Our last day in our second campervan…a short but sweet trip this time! The Great Ocean Road has been fantastic and we're lucky to have seen it before any more of the famous formations collapse into the sea.
