First experience on an autobahn (german motorway with no max speed limits) was interesting. Thomas picked me up from Frankfurt airport, after catching the train there from Munich when my direct flight was overbooked to Frankfurt. I quickly realised that a group of Australian drivers would not survive on the autobahn. It's all a highly organised system where you must stay to the right at all times, unless overtaking. Waiting at the airport nervously for my first ever international flight alone. Who will I be sitting next to? Will they know to wake me for food?? So many things could go wrong!
