Left Jinja very early again for another long drive over the border! As it was another long drive we arrived at our campsite just as it was going dark again, so we set up camp and had dinner. After dinner we went on a guided chameleon walk, was actually a lot more interesting than it sounds! They are really cute! I loved this campsite as it had a dog quite similar to Snoop, so had a few cuddles! Was very tempted to kidnap him!
Left this campsite after a lie-in: 7am! We headed to Lake Nakuru National Park. We set up camp and had a few hours to kill before our game drive, so we set off to go and have a nosy around the shop. On the way bakc to camp I got chased by loads of Vervet Monkeys! It was really scary as I kept throwing things at them and they kept on coming! I got attacked by one last year too, I dont think they like me! In the end, with everyone in hysterics, the armed guards had to come and rescue me!
Did two game drives in Nakuru, one that afternoon and one the next morning before we left for Naivasha. We saw loads Pelicans, Flamingos, Hyena, Maribou Stalk, Buffalo, Lions, Zebra, Giraffe, the usual antelope, lots of white Rhino and a Leopard.
Had several days of pretty constant rain so us and the truck were all starting to smell a little bit damp! Not nice! I was actually dreaming of clean clothes and washing machines!
Arrived into Nairobi (again!) today and first priority was definately washing! This evening we are going to Carnivores to say bye to some of the group, who are heading home, before I head off with another group down to Tanzania tomorrow.
