Can you guess how we started our morning? Acai bowls of course!! Being that we also had a very long drive ahead of us we also munched on a delicious breakfast croissant sandwich . To avoid a pitstop too soon into our trek up north we asked the adorable owner of Rum Jungle for the key to use the restroom. This was a bit more of an issue than presumed. With directions to the secret door on the other side of the building and repeated murmurings of "eevf dju don't bding eet bock I'll be-uh skrood". On the road again!! It was an uneventful drive and we were making good time. This was great because we had a 7:45 dinner reservation at the Slanted Door. We made it to our beautiful hotel, Parc 55 Wyndham in the middle of Union Square with just enough time to freshen up. The bell man whistled us a cab and we were off to the ferry building. Dinner was full of gorgeous presentations and delectable new age vietnamese cuisine. This included spring rolls, beef carpaccio and Dungeness crab and corn soup. We also had our first experiences with a blooming flower that made our delicious jasmine tea and macadamia fried banana over avocado ice cream with a passion fruit reduction drizzle. Yum!! I hailed my first cab and we spent some time wandering the streets and checking out the shops in Union Square. We finished the night watching The Adjustment Bureau on the edge of our seats.
