We kicked off a lazy morning with Ty, munching on steel-cut old fashioned oatmeal and the most amazing coconut french toast at Naked Cafe, a local hippie hangout. After brunch, we began our Home Depot adventure, searching for an air compressor for "the Tank". After a successful mission, we headed over to Ty's garage, where we met "the Tank", Sylvester's macho, "roided-up" big brother. We were a monumental help in getting "the Tank" ready for action, tossing a football, having a dance party, and snapping photos. We had a surprise appearance from "Where's Waldo", who shadowed as a photo critic. Of course, Ty and his handyman skills came through, (with a little help from Dre and I). We said the saddest goodbye of our lives, and hit the road. So we headed to Atascadero on the longest strip of road, known to man, where I became delirious from lack of sleep, seeing sets of three and becoming a fountain of useless information, sad thing was I don't remember most of it. And I quote:
"Are there any schools nearby?"
" I'm not sure Angelica, why?"
"Because I hear old-fashioned school bells!"
"There was a drawbridge!! And Ty held it up... And he said it was kinda heavy."
This bizarre behavior which included obsessive turning on of lights and seeing sets of three, was good for one thing, keeping Dre awake.
