Today, we woke up at the crack of four, in order to go hot air ballooning. However, when we got to Paso Robles, Mother Nature had other plans (I.e. 8mph winds and a fog blanket). So, we headed back to the Holiday Inn for some much needed FNL, (food, nap, laundry). At 9am, Dre dragged me out of my super comfy bed, so we could make our tour at Hearst Castle. We explore the absurdly gaudy tres casas de Hearst. The detail and art in the house was amazing. Our fav was the billiard room!! The houses alone had more 15th century art than a museum. For lunch we headed down the coast a ways to the quaint town of Pismo Beach, where we ate the greatest bucket of Dungeness crab and shrimp boil of our lives. (Think metal bucket of food dumped on table). Next, we went on our fleece jacket adventure, where we were met with the blank stares of sales clerks wondering what in God's name we needed a fleece for in June. Hello we're Florida girls! Then, we got on the road via the craziest detour ever towards Big Sur. Think winding, curving, intense turns on the side of a cliff. We finally made it to our yurt haven. (A yurt is a cute little tent - cabin.) My concession to Dre's love of camping :) All was well until 2am when Dre decided I needed a quick nose job via her elbow. What did I do to deserve this!!
