Day 15 Royal Davui Isalnd, Fiji
Our second day on this tropical paradise. Things are so laidback here they are almost horizontal. We are now down to 10 guests as more left this morning after breakfast. Not only do they greet you with a welcome song which is sung by all the staff, they sing a special leaving song as well. I was welling up listening and it wasn't even for us so goodness knows what will happen when we go on Wed afternoon, I shall be blubbing all the way. We are getting to know our fellow guests really well now especially as there are so few of us along with the staff who are all so friendly. Spent most of the morning after a very leisurely breakfast just relaxing on the raised terrace of our bungalow and in the plunge pool which we discovered is also a Jacuzzi. We hoped to be able to go sailing in one of the hotel's Hobie Cats but although there seemed to be enough wind we were told that it dropped off away from shore and we could have difficulty getting back so had to settle for a kayak instead, but it was fun and we paddled twice round the island which burnt off a few of the calories we've been eating! The food's very good here too. Went snorkelling again this afternoon but remembered to put a T shirt on this time. Bill got some amazing underwater shots on my new camera; it's producing some fantastic photos, especially as we are now figuring out how to use it, so huge thanks to Dan, Lesley and all the family who bought that for me. The Flip that Olly and Maz bought is also producing some lovely videos, but they are taking a long time to post so may have to wait till we get home.
Had a spa treatment today courtesy of my present from ASDS - thanks so much guys, a truly inspired idea.
Well night draws in so I shall sign off for today… take care all of you out there and stay warm!!!!
