Well I thought i'd bless you all with a picture of the beautiful Bath abbey because that's about as far as my travels take me at the moment!
i am at work and I have nothing to do and my boss has just come down with a mysterious illness because she too had nothing to do. In the words of the lovely lotti 'she's a b****'. A right one.
So, stories...considering I don't get bored with my life it's odd that absolutely nothing has really happened that's anything different! The Rosies mini southern tour was funny-really good in Cardiff becasue there were lots of people and also in Bristol where it was the biggest middle-aged crowd i'd ever seen and lots of them bought our album so I think sweet, slightly tame, indie pop is where it's at for the oldies! Bath was dead, my mum was dancing at the front though! We supported a metal band, slightly inappropriate and they weren't even a good metal band. Plus they kept putting their middle fingers up at each other as they were about to play their different parts- I wasn't sure if it was some kind of metallers salute but I wasn't impressed.
The album launch was splendid fun and played in scotland a few weeks ago too, glasgow crowd were...hostile! Halfway through a song all we heard was 'bloody english bands. They're terrible'. Damn xenophobes! But Edinburgh was fun fun fun. There was a dj playing loud daft punk and vitalic and then we hit the stage as the only band playing-weird! Soon as we were off daft punk was hastily thrown back on again-despite the odd line-up the crowd were lovely and we were a little drunk and happy! Spent the next 4 hours negotiating pitch black countryside in a rickety van with dense fog, very gothic and a bit terrifying!
I'm sure many of you will be surprised, but hopefully not saddened, to hear that I had my first driving lesson yesterday, that's right! Me! Driving! It went really well, I can't quite believe I didn't die but apparently i'm learning quicker than most-never thought about the confusing mix of clutch pedal and accelerator pedal-for all of you out there who drive this must sound silly but it's very disconcerting when you've never even sat in the driving seat before! I'm so sure i'm just going to idly step on the accelerator soon and zoom into somebody's expensive car! Had my lesson in Harehills so lots of little chavs mocking me as I attempted to steer, I vowed to come back and get them when i passed my test! (Well in my head i did).
Anyhow, some work has just arrived, bloody typical! Take care my beauties, xxx
