Well, it was a long journey but we've now reached the grand old age of 22. Also my keyboard can't spell. Bad keyboard! So today I got up to get my train to work, it was all going very well, I considered buying a hot chocolate but then decided against it and thought I'd save my pennies for a pudding at lunch instead., little did i know I was never to have a pudding that day...
I jumped on the train, eager and bushy-tailed with a certain glint in my eye, not for any reason although I was glad that the fat horrible man who eats smelly sandwiches wasn't anywhere to be seen. This should have rung alarm bells...
Things started getting suspicious when the train left 3 minutes`early. "What on earth?" I exclaimed, but only in my head, out loud would have been inapprorpaite. As the train pulled away from the station I enquired of the lady sitting next to me, "where is this train going?" She replied "Knottingley". IT WAS THE WRONG TRAIN!
Imagine my horror! I was all a-fluster and the next`stop wasn't for quite sometime as I was taken further and further from my beloved Leeds. Eventually (after what felt like an age) we arrived in Woddmantle, I still have no idea where that is. I jumped off the train, ran across the tracks because it was one of those stragne old-fashioned stations where you can just get mown down by trains., and jumped on to the train going back to Leeds. Back I went and arrived in time to jump on the next train to my destination, phew! What an adventure!
