It's good to see that Sophie comes from the MY MUM version of writing - mum used to get all the kids to write something along the lines of phew! what an adventure on the bottom of their stories for their SAT tests because it got them an extra five marks - for adding drama and opinion or something.
I have only seen Reyna and Trudi the cleaner (not ours before you get all uppetty - my bosses) today. Headingley is raining but Woodhouse Ridge looked beautiful on my way to work. When I told my boss we had set up our own travel blog, she told me we were losers. She's a b****. Now I am determined to write something! She is off today, so I am dossing a little too much.
I start my course at Leeds College of Technology tonight - Multimedia Design (it's only a ten week one) - I'm really quite nervous. What if it's too difficult? Or too boring? I have to pay an extra £100 if I don't submit my work at the end, so I hope I like it!
The flat hunt is so boring I probably shouldn't mention it here. I have seen the biggest load of crap since we looked in the first year. It's that standard. Hopefully we'll start to find nice options, otherwise I might ask the girls if we can camp in the garden! It's ridiculous how bad what we have found really is.
My travel plans are to Headingley and back every day on foot. It's a nice walk along Woodhouse Ridge with a view down to Meanwood and the park.
I am excited about adam (and others?) coming to visit in May. I am also going to Exeter for May bank holiday 2 (you never know - I might finally get a chance to go surfing, or just get broody (both John's sisters are expecting babies in the Autumn))
I am hoping to quit my job at the end of june. I am also going to Tobago with all the family and john.. it started as a house in france, a bit like the year of house in greece becoming oz. i am excited, although slightly anxious that john and my dad might kill each other after a fortnight. the snorkelling should be amazing, and i would quite like to pass my scuba exams. I also want to look into doing volunteering in Morocco, although I'm not sure I can do that at the same time as Reyna is thinking..... As for the autumn, and work, that's all up in the air.
The Rosie's gig was beautiful last week. Everyone (who is still in Leeds) turned out for it, in their best frocks too and they played lovely music. Jonny was particularly nervous, it seemed. John Austin was fantastic as their new guitarist. The second band that supported them were amazing given that they had only played three gigs before (forgot their name though). Soph's on her tour today (Bath) tomorrow (Cardiff) next day (Bristol). Lucky talented girl. Hopefully she'll share some funny stories on here, especially about girls in barnsley.
Have to go and do some work now, and eat an avocado salad sandwich.
love lottie xx
