In my plans for travelling i've found looking at other people's blogs pretty helpful so this one's for people like me! I guess most people that are planning to see England will want to visit London at some point! We English aren't always that friendly and if you don't speak the language you'll struggle, but on my various trips here I found there's lots of things to see and do and if the weather's nice its all good!
The lists of must-see/do things to in London really are a must - well the seeing anyway - things to do can be pretty expensive! Big Ben, Parliment, the London Eye and Buckingham palace are all close to each other, these and St Pauls cathedral, trafalgar square, tower bridge, science museum, natural history museum (only seen the dinosaur bit but its awesome) are all things you can see for free and take some lovely photos! My favorite thing to do in London is see a show - there are some amazing ones on! I think the first one I ever saw was The Lion King, i've never forgotten it and not sure if any others have really made the same impression since, trouble is tickets can be really expensive but if I only had money for one big thing to do it'd go on a show.
St Pauls cathedral is GORGEOUS inside, although I do love looking at churches so I may be biased. The history museum is awesome - we didn't have time to see it all but spent a good few hours in the dinosaur bit and I loved it! Madame Taussauds is fun but a bit pricey if your on a budget, same with the london dungeons too but if you have the time and money then go for it! Covent garden is a funky place to go if you like the living statues, buskers and street entertainers, there's a good variety of food there too so is always worth a visit!
I went to the Rainforest Cafe for my birthday this year because I loved the one in Paris so much! I'm not sure if this one wasn't as good or because it was less of an amazing suprise being the second time i'd been to one, but its still the best restaurant i've been to in London - not so much the food but more the experience - i'm a sucker for the themed places where people dress up!
I love London but not London prices, there is lots to see and do for free though and if you do have the cash there's even more!
