What a full on but amazing day! Covered so much ground in 12 hours and to top it off the weather was absolutely perfect, even a lil warm in parts... Never thought I would say that about England! Got picked up at the crack of dawn this morning then headed to Victoria Station where we were dispersed into our tour groups. Finally found the London in One Day tour group, after a lil confusion and off we drove to our first stop, Stonehenge. This time making it to the other side of the fence was a treat, took a few pics then back on the bus to our second stop... Bath. What an amazing little town that place is! The quint essential English town, I would say. Just could not get enough of the cute little cottages on the drive into the town. Being such a nice day everyone was out in force tanning in the sun on any spec of grass they could find at all the surrounding parks. The Baths themselves were everything I hoped it to be. After a quick gelato stop it was back on the bus for the drive through Cotswold and onto Stratford Upon-Avon where we checked out Shakespeare's birthplace and was treated to champagne and scones (FYI... best scones I have ever tasted! Sorry mum! Lol!) and a Shakespearean performance. Time to hit the road back to London our tour guide Alan did not disappoint with his hilarious commentary on everything under the sun including Phil's driving!
A very tiring but awesome day in the English countryside. I could not have picked a more amazing day weather-wise to be out in the sunshine enjoying what England has to offer!
