A stunning summers day, we tracked down a hidden cove on Lac Vouglans using Natalie's wild swimming book. Parking on a ordinary looking side road we cycled down a steep mountain path to be greeted by a picture perfect fishing cove. Clear water, steep forested cliffs it was breathtaking. We spent hours here before heading to St Claude for a drink and pattisere. We ate pizza on the last night and then took a 3 hour drive in the rain to the Alps. Our campsite is watched over by the imposing mountains. Alp d'huez is there somewhere in the mist waiting to challenge us. Highlights-swimming with my mermaid in a beautiful lagoon. Realising my breaks are.not going to stop me on a fast steep descent.
