Kim's Travels
So we left Mr B and Fu in Chang Mai and we arrived back in Bangkok this morning at 4 am after a very uncomfortable and smelly 12 hour bus journey. It was 'interesting' to see the Khaosan Road at that time - to be brutally frank it was full of prostitutes and ladyboys... nice. Anyway, we checked into the Sawasdee Banglumo Inn and managed to get a room straight away so I could finally sleep - yay! After breakfast and a decent shower we set off for a Thai massage (when in Rome...) which was brilliant. I opted for a traditional Thai massage followed by a foot massage. People had warned us that it would be painful but it was quite enjoyable actually. They were a little brutal at times and I did have to stop my self giggling at some points but I felt really great afterwards. We sorted out the rest of our trip today, deciding on visiting Koh Tao and Koh Pan Ngan; we leave tomorrow and get back to Bangkok on the 22nd July before we come home. A huge storm was brewing by then so we had no option but to chill in the room as it poured down, Thai style, which was fine by me as I was feeling a bit ill. To cut a long story short there was a bit of a palava and I had to take a trip to the hospital (which was surprising OK, very clean, quick and helpful) but not to worry I'm absolutly fine now. We came back and Tom sampled some street food (Pad Thai of course) and now I'm off to bed. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little more active as we catch another night bus down south in the evening in order to get to Koh Tao where Tom starts his diving course and I start my sun bathing...!
