We had our complimentary boat gathering that night with our crew for a few free drinks. It wasn't that great so we went and joined another boats table with other people that we knew. The night got a lot better with drinking games followed by a trip to Mama Africa (the local night club) What a laugh! Good music and a hell of a lot of dancing!
The next day we checked back into the Beaches hostel and chilled out for a bit - walked around the town, visited the lagoon and finally managed to upload photos for you guys to look at. Hope you like them all and can understand more about what we're talking about now. We felt like true Aussies later that day in the afternoon with a free didjeurido lesson (sorry on the spelling!) So much fun, but quite a lot of technique needed. That night we joined everyone for fish and chips at the lagoon under the stars. We had to get up at 6am the next morning though, to get to the oz bus, so we tried to have an early night.
We were not happy to hear the alarm clock sunday at 6am. We got on the Oz bus and finished off sleeping before lunch breaks and random stops. After 10 hours on the coach we were pretty fed up but were greeted with a big YEEHAA as we arrived at Kroombit - the cattle ranch. We got a chance to eat a mystery meat, which we later found out was goat! Quite tasty and tender though! (Apparently it's the worlds largest eaten meat) This was followed by eating roast beef - so gooood! Th eranch then put on some activities on for us to make fools out of ourselves - fancy dress, cracking whips, limbo and the mechanical bull to finish us off! The photos and videos are hilarious! Hopefully we'll be able to upload then soon to show you.
Today we left the ranch after doing some lassoing and a goat rodeo - that was all before 8am, as breakfast was at 6am!! Now we've arrived at Hervery bay ready to visit Fraser island on Wednesday. It'll be a 2 day trip camping and driving self drive 4x4's - who knows what could happen! xx
