Last night Brad, Bek, Louise and Cameron guest starred in the Impro Now sponsored Theatre Sports Event.
This is a teams comedy event. Other teams were Impro Now (Adelaide), Impro Everywhere (USA), Sound and Fury (Canada), On-The-Fly (Adelaide). Fantastic entertainment!! Full house (~170ish). Great opportunity to reconnect with friends from last year. The only controversy was a mix up with the scoring but this was sorted by Jeff (the Hanging Judge!!). Everyone contributed to an outstanding experience for the audience.
Sound and Fury won the event and f%#*ing rocked as usual. The guys demonstrated how to succeed with one of the most difficult scenes in impro, the speaking in unison scene (easy to do but difficult to do well). Their expert character was superb and rewarded with rapturous applause and near perfect scores.
I caught up with Selby and Vincent from Sound and Fury after the show. They are doing a new show this year based on the Sherlock Homes detective genre. Hope to catch it on our night off. Last year we got to see their fantastic Cyrennoes show. Vincent indicated they are working on a Sci-fi genre show, which they hope to be performing in Europe later in the year.
11pm.Though I have been in Adelaide less than 24 hours, the adoring public, understandably so, are already throwing themselves at me, clutching to my body, ............
.......our limbs interwoven, bodies heaving in passionate, fiery, embrace; the entire troupe plus groupies swam as one in a sea of lustful..... "Wake up", a voice seemed to say. "Oh I better get up then", I said to myself, with that question from the plane flight returning to me .......why did I wake up again.
