Running out of time to do everything, we decided to go separate ways today. The girls caught a shuttle from MGM to the small town of Primm about 40 miles from Vegas and almost at the Nevada / California border. They went there for the discount factory outlet and bought heaps of clothes. Mitch and I drove to Hoover Dam which is about 25 miles from Vegas. We were in time to get tickets for the first tour at 9:30 which took us on a walking tour through the galleries of the dam. I was extremely impressed with design of the dam as well as the quality of the workmanship. It looks like it was completed last year, not 76 years ago.

After we regrouped back in Vegas, we bought tickets for the Deuce Bus which took us along the strip to Caesar's Palace. We played a few slot machines before doing some souvenir shopping on the way to Planet Hollywood where we found a place for dinner.

Then we walked back to the Tropicana to drop off some stuff and crossed over the road to Excalibur where we caught the shuttle tram to Mandalay Bay and Luxor. Luxor was amazing, with a huge sphinx in front and the hotel fitted into a pyramid.
