Today, we enjoyed breakfast at Tom's Diner on 81st Street which was made famous by the sitcom Seinfeld. After that we took the subway to the southern end of Central Park and replicated the photo Dean and Kim took when they were here. Today, we took the subway to South Ferry and caught the ferry from Battery Park to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island where we did audio tours. At the statue, we found a small cafe that sold 'Fish and Chips' which we thought sounded good. On Thursday (28 June) we took a tour of the United Nations Headquarters. We were able to walk through a sitting of the General Assembly but couldn't take photos in there, unfortunately. Today, we started with a walk from our hotel to the west gate of Central Park. We continued on and found the famous statue Angel of the Waters, and many beautiful scenes of the lake, bridges and dense greenery. Afterwards, we visited the Museum of Natural History which blew me away with the quality of the exhibits. In the afternoon, we made very quick visits to the Guggenheim Museum and the Museum of Modern Art, just to say we’d been there.

Today we purchased tickets to visit the 911 Memorial for a 10am booking. The ticket office was a couple of blocks away from Ground Zero and was a little tricky to find. The memorial consists of two enormous pools surrounded by cascading water and the engraved names of all the victims. The pools are on the exact footprints of the twin towers.
