On Thursday (28 June) we took a tour of the United Nations Headquarters. We were able to walk through a sitting of the General Assembly but couldn't take photos in there, unfortunately. We also saw the Security Council chamber and a bunch of displays about land mines and human rights etc.

After that we had a look through Macy's ... supposedly the world's biggest department store but didn’t think it as impressive as Harrods. They do have some really old wooden escalators though which is cool.

That evening, Mitch and I travelled on the subway to Yankee Stadium to watch the New York Yankees play the Chicago White Sox. We got really good seats from a scalper and enjoyed the game although the Yankees lost in thriller.
