Another greasy breakfast devoured.KG was a little late this morning so it's 150km/ph to try and catch the Cheetah run at 8am! The German dude is with us again and is already asking ''Vare is das bier und viskey?''. It's 730am buddy, settle down!
Made it to the park just on time only to find out there was a double booking and apparently the Japanese tourists paid a lot more than us(surprise!) so they get first preference! We will return tomorrow but now it's off to the Lion/Rhino Park!
Dammmm this place is huge...first impressions- very similar to rural Ireland , lots of green fields and s***e roads, just replace the cows and sheep from back home with ostriches, warthogs, eagles, lions, tigers, giraffes, hippos, wild dogs, cheetahs, snakes, crocodiles, wilder beast, panthers, leopards, tortoises, antelope and springboks( to name but a few...) and its really no different to home!
Highlight of the day was entering the white lion pen to play with the cubs, apart from sunstroke and a slightly ripped T-shirt( which I got caught in a fence not an animal) it was a great experience! I hadn't seen that amount of wild animals since the days of the Tea Gardens Sunday sessions in Sydney!
Tomorrow is our return to the Cheetah and Wild Dog Reserve. I'm absolutely baked now physically and mentally so time to return to normal and take a nap!
