Flight one down, nothing to report. Four hours now in Joburg airport spending money on gifts and s***e I don't need,but the only other option is drinking and that's not a wise decision before a thirteen hour flight, many would disagree I suppose. Goodbye South Africa, well to be more precise it's goodbye Cape Town. What a great city.. Flying to Johannesburg now and have a four hour layover there. It'll be more like a lay down I think. I'll finish updating this once I get in my apartment door in two days presumably wrecked, cranky, smelly and potentially hungry..but for now there is one last fry up staring me in the face, no fish fingers though..

The last few hours have arrived in the lodge. It's been a lot of fun in particular here, meeting people from all across the world from America to Zimbabwe to Germany to Namibia to Norway and so on... It has been more or less the same people here for the past week and most of us leave tomorrow, so the depression is looming around the place..well not really to be fair, it is time to get back to 'reality' and start 'working' again.. Spur of the moment helicopter ride around the city.. Overheard some tourists making a last minute cancellation so I hopped on board instead for half price..not a bad way to finish off the holiday.. It was initially supposed to be a 15 minute chopper ride, but the other couple on board wanted to extend the trip so they paid extra for us to stay up for another 15minutes.. The final full day of the trip...jaded and depressed are probably the two best ways to describe my mood this morning. I am glad that I kept a record of most (not all..) of my time here to look back on in the coming years. I am actually not that depressed to be leaving; four weeks is a long time and I've done as much as possible here so mission accomplished I suppose.
