Once again KG( lazy pig!) slept in this morning...another high speed highway chase to catch the cheetah run! The German dude(name still unknown and after three days it would be too awkward to ask so let's stick with Uther) was once again on the tour but today was clearly suffering from a reckless hangover...
At 8am, we were put into an open enclosure to watch the cheetahs run at full speed chasing down their breakfast 100meters away- imagine having to run 100meters in less than ten seconds every morning for your Breakfast? Usain Bolt would be one of a few that got fed every morning!
Next stop was to hop into the back of an open roofed 4x4 and drive around the park watching the different animals get fed by one of the guides. Cheetahs, Hyenas, Ostriches, Wild Dogs and a range of others I can't remember ( I'm not David Attenborough) were happy to munch away on their horse meat( not from Tesco) chicken mince while we took snaps next to them. There was a few angry cheetahs though, especially one that had attacked one of our guides a few weeks ago so naturally she was a nervous wreck when she had to hop out and feed them. A few more hisses from the king cheetah that had attacked her, and she was back in the 4x4 letting one of her colleagues take over-great entertainment for a Thursday morning!
Uther slept for most of the tour as he had necked back a few shots of brandy before it started! I couldn't resist frightening the s***e out of him by roaring in his face when we were next to the cheetahs- poor man nearly had a heart attack but sometimes entertainment comes at a price!
I'm all wild animaled( I know it's not a word) for now- so now back to the pool for the day- it's too hot today( seriously it is, I'm not boasting..)
