After a routine flight( two hours of snoring), we landed in Cape Town just after 3pm. Got chatting to a guy on the plane as we left and he told me his son (BJ Botha) played for Munster last year( he saw I was wearing an Irish jersey)... I was too hungry to extend the conversation for too long.Never heard of that fella anyway so not sure if he was or is any good..
Been so used to the hotel life with room service that my new accommodation is a bit of a let down.. No TV in the room, what kind of carry on is that? Staying right below Devils Peak mountain in an area called Woodstock, five minutes from the city so will head in tomorrow for a glance.
Cape Town definitely looks like a very outdoorsy type city; looking into doing a shark cage dive to get the ball rolling.. maybe..Relaxing by the poolside as I write this, with five dogs and two cats staring at me..at least they're not lions or rhinos I suppose.
Today I'm doing nothing exciting just vegging and watching TV in the lounge area with the pets and a few random tourists, hopefully they are sane like myself..My aunt and uncle are out of town until Sunday but will catch up with cousin and his buddies tomorrow evening for a 'few pints' in Hout Bay, wherever that is...
