This morning we woke up with the plan to meet my parents at the Louvre. We had already figured out the metro but first we needed food. We found this cute bakery and all got bread. We also got some sort of chocolate croissant type thing. It was cheap, warm, and delicious. And it's bread, what's not to like? Before meeting my parents we check out Central Pompidou. but don't go in the actual building. We also saw Notre Dame but don't go in there either, the line was soooo long! It started out as an okay day so our pictures didn't turn out poorly. Also, there is the bridge, much like the one in Florence where couples put locks on the gate and then throw their key into the river. I think it's adorable!
We experienced our first crepe, which was Nutella and bananas. It was expensive but wonderful! It also got us out of the cold for a bit. As we get to the Lourve, the rain starts. Do you think any of us brought our umbrella? Of course not. Nice job everyone. But we find my parents quickly and do a quick greeting. We head down into the Louvre while telling the best stories of the trip. We don't buy tickets because we only have an hour before closing. Instead we go to my parent's hotel and kill time before dinner. We don't want to walk far so we find a place close to their hotel. Let's mention that it had almost been a week since we had meat so we all got cheeseburgers, don't judge me. The waitress thought it was pretty funny and knew we all wanted ketchup. They were pretty expensive and not that good. I wasn't too happy about that but what are you gonna do!? We stayed and talked for a few hours and finally decided to call it a night. We took the metro back and fell asleep quickly!
