Kuala Lumpur-Delhi
Well we had a few hr stop over in kuala Lumpur Which at 5:30 am their time not a whole lot to do, so we change some Aussie cash to Malaysian money and got a
Coffee and some water... Then caught a train inside the airport to our part of the airport. Waited for
Our connecting flight to Delhi which was a 6 hour flight. We arrived in Delhi and was stared down by everyone in the airport, we didn't even know what to expect when we got out side the airport! Customs was a breeze though! It was just handing over paper as we walked through and put our bags through a scanner which the controller Guy was on his mobile! We walked out the doors and got a taxi, (interesting experience)....
Delhi
Wow!! People said culture shock and thats exactly what it was. But one I adapted to very quickly... We as australians Living in a civilized country where most of us adhere to a schedule or daily routine, Delhi is the opposite but why does everyone here seems to be rushing?
I was worried about 1 main thing coming to India and it was the toilet situation and toilet paper! I'm not overly keen to use a hose or bucket with my hand! And so far been lucky to have a toilet is all places I've made contact with even if I've paid! But another traditional way to use the loo is really side of the streets! I have gone past soooo many people urinating and so forth on the street openly and that normal!
There is only one word to describe the roads and that is chaotic, the horn is used basically to say I'm coming through! Give way signs just don't exist! Lane lines are there but again no one follows them it's just zig zag in-between and around or into!! There isn't 1 car, tuk tuk or motorised bike that is scratched or cover in dints and paint chips! All day the city sounds, are horns!!
