After quite a jerky trip up north approximately 6am we arrive in McLeod Ganj in Daramasala. We hop of the bus ad take a taxi to a highly recommended hotel/restaurant in out lonely planet guide and quickly fell inlove with the whole village. It's known as a mini a Tibet. It was a small village made up of of course Indians but predominantly Tibetans and of course tonnes of tourists. The streets were tiny and had shops along the roads, the main 3 streets made up McLeod. They had the most amazing shops with pure yak wool jacket and ponchos, thick woolen socks and gorgeous jewelry. It crossed our minds on many occasions to skip our flight to Nepal and the bus trip back to Delhi first just to stay longer.
We just got to relax for 5 days and walk around try some awesome cafes and meet some really quite inspiring people. Coincidently we ran into a girl who went to Rachs school we hung out a bit walked to the waterfall together, she was happy to here some Australian voices. Towards the end of out McLeod adventure we were both not feeling great I guess we could say poor Rachy spoke too soon with copping a wack of the famously known Delhi belly, mind you I was still dealing with getting rid of my bug which I finally did before jumping back on the old bus to Delhi. I'm thankful to the British girl who gave me a valeum it made that trip back down the mountains a breeze. I was sad to leave McLeod I really could have stayed if not forever a long time. From Delhi we flew to Nepal.
