With only 2 weeks until I'm on my way to China, I thought it would be a good time to say thank you to everybody who has supported me. These past 11 months have been incredibly busy, and I would never have reached my target without the support of so many people and organisations. So it is only right that I dedicate this to all those who helped me reach my total of £5600 in time:
1. Fairlie Community Council for their donation of £150
2. The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust for their donation of £300
3. The Largs Masonic Group for their donation of £50
4. The Rotary Club of Largs for their donation of £100
5. RDK Construction for their donation of £250
6. Largs Round Table for letting me sell the light up toys at the Largs Fireworks, which raised me over £450!
7. The people of Largs and the surrounding area, for letting me hijack a stall at nearly every coffee morning and craft fayre in the area, attending my events, and supporting me throughout the year.
8. My parent's friends - you have been so supportive, and always so willing to help me out, I definitely would not have made it without your kind donations.
9. My family - thank you very much for all the donations throughout the year.
10. My close friends - thank you so much for putting up with me all year, shooting down my silly fundraising ideas, supplying me with good idea, and volunteering. You've heard me tell the tale of my selection and opportunities so many times, it's probably burned on your mind. Still, I love you all, and your help has been invaluable!
11. My parents - this is the most important thank you. Without your permission and blessing, I would never have had the chance to experience this amazing opportunity. You have sat up late with me many a night counting money, brainstorming, researching and writing to charitable trusts, encouraging and supporting me. You have been the backbone of this whole fundraising experience, and without you, half of this would not have even been arranged! Now, as the date for me leaving approaches, I really appreciate all you have done for me, and not just in the past year. You have brought me up to be a responsible, willing, adventurous, caring, and independant person. Now as I move out, I will never forget all you have taught me, and hope that I do you proud.
Thank you to everybody, I will really make the most of my year away, and promise to keep you all up to date with what your money has helped me to achieve.
