Greetings family and friends,
Please accept my apology because I have been really slack on communications these last few days. I havent been very well, and have had a few unusual incidents occuring so I have been otherwise occupied.
I spent last weekn in London. I had a cold for a couple of days after I sent Megan off on her Contiki so I just relaxed, wondered around Hyde Park watching the squirrels frolicking for a couple of days. I also have developed a.........

allergy to.........
*cries a little bit*
several beers in this country. I am crushed. In every possible way. I come out in this god awful rash and it makes me look like I have rabies or something. So far I cant have Stella (sob!) and John something... I have forgotten (or rather wiped the painful memory from my poor little mind). One night we were all feeling a little homesick so we ventured to the Walkabout bar, which is an Australian/Kiwi pub that was having a massive bushfire appeal. They made about £500 which is pretty awesome, I was impressed. They kept asking me to donate and I was like oh but I donated at home and my house is under threat... It was a little awkward. Had a fun night though, but I went home early because of my *sob* allergy.
One day I decided that having a cold was not going to stop me enjoying my trip, so I ventured out on my own and booked a day tour to Oxford, Stonehendge and Windsor Castle. Come thursday I set off on my bus trip to Windsor Castle, which was very cool. Looked like something straight out of Harry Potter, or one of those medieval movies. I had my jousting stick ready just in-case, but ALAS there was no jousting to be done. I kept an eye out for the Queen (Windsor Castle is one of her five residences. Five!Oh to be royal) but didnt catch her anywhere. There were lots of suits of armour, creepy little corners and and great views. I will put up the photos as soon as I find a computer with a USB port. After a couple of hours there, I climbed back onto the bus and headed to Stonehendge. That is one C-R-E-E-P-Y location. Very eerie. There are these stones, massive ones, assembled in line with the stars and planets and what-not. There is nothing around it, thank god because that would completely ruin it. World Heritage Status is a blessing in this situation! There were lots of myths about what the stones were assembled there for but my favourite went a little like this.
One day, the devil is wondering around the market and buys these magical stones from an Irish woman. She gives him a pretty good deal, tick tock bam, thank you ma'am type situation. The devil then makes them whiz magically over to the salisbury plains and assembles them, and then gets the town to play a strange game to do with counting them, but the friar is like "Devil, buddy who are you kidding? There are too many stones here to count, go jump in a lake" and the Devil is like WHOA NOT COOL so he picks up the stone, and throws it at the friars heel. The friar magically isnt hurt, and now one of the Stones is called 'heel stone'. Pretty strange but cool story.
Anyway after that we went to OXFORD. This is where the Great Hall from Harry Potter was modelled from, as well as many scenes of the Castle, Hogsmeade and theres a cool lightening strike engraved in the stones outside a building as well. I pretended I went to Hogwarts and one guy looked at me kind of strangely when I pulled out the "Wingardium Leviosa!" to get a closer look, but never mind. I had a great time.
Then it was the weekend and I went down to Cosford/Shropshire to visit Great Uncle Jim & Aunty Frieda which was a lovely time. I had delicious coffee and biscuits, a fantastic chinese meal and some great conversation. They are really lovely, caring people and I am going back to visit again on the 9th of march.
