Arrived in Sweden very grumpy because of lack of sleep. At this point we realise we have arrived with absolutely no plan as to what we are doing. Find an internet cafe and book a hostel, thank goodness.
We find the hostel and it is bliss. The beds are comfy. There is a real kitchen. It has a stove and everything! It has FREE PASTA. FREE CHEESE!!(I have experienced a severe lack of dairy whilst travelling. I ate so much cheese whilst at this hostel. mmmmm)
It was clean. I was in heaven. We basically just slept this day because we hadnt had any sleep at all and we were sad about that. Went and had a beer in a bar but it cost about $20 australian and we were tired so we went home to bed.
The next day we went on a big nature walk. It was pretty warm, or so we thought until we were walking along the water and it was all frozen and there ware ducks frolicking about in the water/ice. I started my documentary of Megan and I. You will all love it, and we will sell it for millions and they will turn it into a movie. We spend alot of time birding, but I'll probably devote a whole blog entry to that, so you will have to wait until then. I am on a pretty big roll at the moment though, so it might be up by the end of the evening.
We went to T-Central. OH MY GOD.
You know, you hear about Sweden. You know the people are going to be good looking. But nothing, I repeat NOTHING can ever prepare you for what you will see. These people have been sculpted by God individually. I saw more beautiful people in 8 minutes than I have in my whole entire life. I was lost for words. Megan couldnt breathe. We nearly fell over. We sat in the square for about 3 hours with our mouths open drooling all over the floor. I dont know what would have happened if someone spoke to us. Every few minutes you heard an ambulance going, and I was pretty sure it was because a tourist had had a heart-attack because they couldnt handle all the beauty.
After we finally pulled ourselves away we wanted to go out. We had a bit of a struggle though, and ended up at some kind of viking bar. Bit of a failure, but still an experience that I think everyone should have in their lifetime. The next day was... well more of the same. You cant stop looking at those people! We spent most of the day in the city, cruising and perving before jumping on a bus to Copenhagen. I think maybe I will move to Sweden and find a husband. If only I can stop drooling long enough to talk to someone.
