On our next day in Langkawi, all but Linda head off on a full day's tour of Langkawi with Sayid (a absolute legend of a man, who was a local expert, hilarious, knew everyone, knew everything, generally a joy to be around.) We stumble off the train, waving to the awesome guard who made and unmade our beds, and crossed the street to a cafe which basically just serves Western breakfasts. Score.
