This morning we awoke at 7:30am and got layered up for the day. We had our favourite ¥350 breakfast of toast, soup and coffee at the hostel to prepare us for the walking ahead.
After breakfast Shannon led the way via train to a man made island known as Odaiba where we spent the majority of the day at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. There were some cool exhibits including the robot Asimo and also the seal robot Paro. There was also some exhibits on space travel and the earth which were both interesting. We had lunch in the museum which was nothing special.
After we left the museum we spent some time wandering around the shops on Odaiba and also strolled down to the Rainbow Bridge. Unfortunately it was a bit overcast today so the photos didn't turn out too impressive. We stopped for afternoon tea at my favourite cafe, Choco Cro, where we had a chocolate croissant and a coffee.
After a bit more strolling we took the train back to Ikebukuro where we chilled out in our hostel with a drink before heading out for dinner. We had ramen again which we both thought was absolutely delicious and way better than last night's one. Yum yum! Unfortunately we have yet to have any gyoza but the search is not over yet!
We walked around the streets and shops for an hour or so before making our way back to the hostel for the evening.
There's been a lot of walking today but we feel good. No concrete plans for tomorrow yet but we may go to Shinjuku to check out a big garden there.
