Back to the regular blogger, Katie, today. Guest blogger Shannon has thrown in the towel on writing even though he did such a good job.
Today was a perfect day in Bali. We woke up to beautiful weather, no rain, and enjoyed an early morning yoga class with dad, Kerrie, Alison and Nathan. Shannon was actually pretty good even though he was a bit nervous beforehand. The class was held outside on the grass and it was quite lovely to actually salute the sun during the sun salute.
After our 1.5 hour yoga session we had a few minutes to shower off before we headed down to breakfast. We enjoyed another massive buffet where I particularly enjoyed the Bircher muesli.
We had a spa treatment booked in for 10:00am so with full stomachs we tottled across to the spa. We had 60min Bali Latte scrubs where they lathered us down in a coffee sugar scrub after which they cleaned off and then lathered us in coconut milk. I enjoyed it although Shannon found it a little bit painful. We smelt delicious afterwards though.
We had a refreshing swim in the adult only pool after our treatment and then used the dressing rooms to have a steam and sauna, or svitz as Shannon likes to call it.
We spent a bit of time lazing about in the room before heading down to the beach for lunch at the Chess Bar and then a chat in dad and Kerrie's private bule with Michael and Alison.
We enjoyed the steam and sauna so much that we decided to head to the gym for a workout before utilising the change rooms to wash off and svitz.
By this time it was basically happy hour so we went down to the clubhouse to enjoy our drinks. We also had a traditional Balinese dance to attend tonight, the kecak dance. It was a choir of men who chanted slash sang the whole time whilst some traditional dancers told the story and did some impressive hand movements. It was very beautiful. We also enjoyed a buffet dinner at the show that had a spectacular dessert selection.
Tomorrow we have another day trip away from the resort which should be fun.
