Sooooooo Happy today. I got a job on the Mountain!! Just when I was about to accept the offer of a lifetime to work in a call centre selling Funeral Insurance this little beauty appeared (thank the lord!!). It was cutting it fine though but after a brief escape from selling my soul toi the devil I start on Monday, Yay!! This also means that my very disgusting nights of odering Long Island Iced Teas (we did not realise they were $20 a drink, ahhhh!) and scoffing Pizzas at 4am and even one night getting a taxi home (I live at Park Street which takes approx 4 mins to walk home, disgraceful) are almost forgiven as I get a free lft pass with my job, WOOP WOOP!! So no paying for my lift pass and a salary the same as I would get if I were working at a bar in town, what can I say, things are looking up.
Chris has been working lots, well, a lot harder than (until today!) my jobless self. The guys he works with seem nice and I think he will be getting tons of hours next week when the snow (hopefully) comes. He went boarding yesterday morning but was back early, all the snow is man made at the moment so not the best conditions.
We have been doing lots of walks around the lake which you will see from the pictures. Although, the pictures do not do New Zealand justice, everytime we go for a drive as cheesy as this sounds it really does take my breath away. Wer went to Arrowtown for a drive the other evening, it is so so lovely (understand why Pete and Suzanne go every year!).
It is Winterfest here so we have been having a party filled week. Its quite a big deal here, even the Prime Minister did the grand opening of the Festival, it lasts for a whole week. Theres some really crazy stuff going on, we spent the day at a dodgeball competition yeterday and all the games seem to be centered arond being thrown in the freezing cold lake.
I love my house and have made some brilliant friends. Check out the pics and you will see our house and hidious brown car, we've called him Old Brown (in honour of you Pete!). Which is now (fingers crossed and touch wood) working like a dream.
Saw some holiday pics of family in France from Suzanne, looks like you all had a fab time, cant wait to hear about it when I finally speak to you on the phone (MUM!)
LOTS OF LOVE ALL XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
