Today I taught a lesson on money and calulcating change aswell as 2 lessons on organisms, mammals, reptiles and amphibians.. this really jogged my memory with what I knew! Whats hard in this context is the language barrier theres only so much I can teach the girls especially when some can barely understand english.. its also nerve racking when they keep laughing at you and speaking in their native tounge and one girl keeps saying shes teasing you kara.. bloody teenage girls. Tiah you better be being nice to your teachers! I just laugh at them and pull a face and they keep laughing.. whatevs
helped the girls with their bball training after school which was fun - thinking i want to coach a bball team when i am back. then me and 2 of the other girls went with the school pe teacher for a run to and around the airport which was good, the ocean is just incredible here, we ran on sunset right near the water.. so so beautiful. funny story.. we all had different paces so i ended up with just one other girl and we got a bit lost.. and its really really scary walking the streets around here... have i mentioned there are SO SO SO many SCARY looking dogs here.. apparantly the statistics are 7000 dogs to 2000 people.. and all the locals all say always carry a stick when you go walking because a teacher last year fully got attached by a group of dogs and was sent to hospital..anyway we were walking down a street and there was a cow.. all good we thought a cow wont do anything but next minute the bloody thing was charging right at us.. i pooed my pants (not really) and started to bolt the minute i saw 2 massive horns on its head thinking it was a bull and that we were done for..but all was good it stopped when 3 dogs ran at it.. it was super scary and my heart was racing but aftterwards we were all laughing heaps coz something similar happened to the other girl aswell.
